The Can-Am Spyder RT

2015 spyder rtCan-Am has created a number of really interesting trikes.  These three-wheeled motorcycles are not your daddy's trike, though.  The Spyder RT is a sleek machine.  When people often think of trikes, they think of delta trikes: those with one wheel in front and two in back.  The Spyder, however, is set up in the tadpole configuration with two wheels in the front.  This makes it look fairly different from other bikes and trikes.  It is also slimmer and leaner, looking less like the large, bulky trikes of the past and more like a motorcycle.

The 2015 Spyder RT is powered by a Rotax 1330 Ace high torque engine with a six-speed transmission.  It is designed for two passengers, and both seats are very comfortable.  The passenger has a full backrest and bars to grip, while the driver has a small lumbar support rest.  The bike features easy-to-set cruise control and an adjustable electric windshield that can be changed as you go to help protect you from any kind of weather.  The heated handle grips provide relief from the cold, too.

The trike's instrument gauge is a full color display that includes speedometer, odometer, hour/trip meters, gear position, temperature, clock, and fuel gauge.  It also features an AM/FM radio and comes standard with a cable for your iPod or other music device.  For those on the go, the trike comes with a towing hitch that can tow up to 400 pounds.  The 2015 Sypder RT starts at $23,199.
