It is finally here, starting officially on Thursday this week (that would be 14th of October). Biketoberfest will be taking place all weekend at Daytona Beach and surrounding areas including New Smyrna Beach all the way to Ormond Beach.

If you are still undecided I got to tell you the weather has been excellent the past few days. Perhaps the last excuse of the year to ride your bike across country before the winter cold settles in. Biker’s are already in town, most enjoyed the airshow perk thrown in by Embry Riddle last weekend. It was great seeing the F-22 over the beach. I went on Saturday and the beach was packed!

So ride down to Daytona for Biketoberfest. The greatest hang outs are Main Street and Beach Street in Daytona. Pub 44 next to Harley Davidson in New Smyrna and Ormond’s Destination Daytona Harley Mega Store. With lots of vendors, nice shops and live entertainments planned out throughout the entire week you will surely have some fun. And don’t forget to hit the Last Resort camp ground where they have a nice cozy setup for this Biketoberfest.

Remember I don’t tap in bars or vendors. If I feel they deserve recognition I will surely mention them here. I went out riding around town on Monday and slowly everyone is getting ready for the big weekend. Cabbage patch is a good excuse to ride out through the back roads of Daytona. Really guys, and gals, the sky is blue, the weather is warm for now, hopefully it will stay that way.

It is that time of the year again here at Daytona Beach we are preparing for Biketoberfest once again. 2010 will be the 18th anniversary of the motorcycle event.

Why not get on your motorcycle and make one last getaway before the weather starts to freeze up north. We are practically summer all year long down here in Florida. You can sweat your skin off in the summer or come down in fall/winter for the nicest weather. Beats the snow if you ask me, although 10 years in Daytona and not a drop of snow flake can make me miss it at times.
