Leesburg Bike Fest 2010 review
Apr 27th
If you were not aware last week was the Leesburg Bike Fest held just north of Orlando Florida in the city of Leesburg. I’ve been going to this show the past 4 years now. It is a growing show held in a real nice town. My first and third years I was retailing and my second and this year I was out wholesaling my biker patches to vendors.
I did meet a few new vendors this year which I’m happy to report will be including biker patches to their product lines.
The show was only a weekend long show. If you ask vendors for them it is a one day event where all is made on the saturday. The show actually gets extremely crowded on the saturday. This year they estimated 300,000 bikers attending. One thing I hear though is because it gets such overly crowded on saturday bikers don’t tend to reattend the following year. Not sure as to the trueness of this observation I heard from a few vendors. Well sorry to hear it is too crowded for bikers but surely vendors are loving it.
You know the weather had been so nice in florida this year with not too much heat blowing our way I have to say Murphy’s laws kicked in and I believe we had the hottest day of the year on the friday of the show. Nevertheless a nice sunny day beats any rainy day. Enjoy the few pictures I snapped on my camera phone.
- Sunset over main street with the bikes parked
- Main Street at Leesburg, Bikers parking their motorcycles for free at the very end of the main street
- Barbara from Bulldog Leather offer a giant selection of motorcycle patches
- now here is a biker with some patches on his vest
- The weather was hot and very sunny on the Friday
- Check it out this guy has my wings of gold patch on him
- Chris is a character at Bulldog Store that can be found on Main Street Daytona

Milwaukee Rally 2010 Vendor Info
Mar 10th
I got an email flyer today about the Milwaukee Rally that is going to take place this year in 2010 between September 2-5 over the labor day weekend.
The Flyer below should give you the information needed to sign up as a vendor. Rents look pretty cheap but I wonder if it is bait and switch as it says the rents are starting from $300 for a 10×10. Apparently 50,000 people attended the rally last year in 2009. For those vendors interested give them a call. I remember it being a very good year in 2008 when it was the 105th Anniversary of Harley. I did talk to a bunch of vendors last year and they were mentioning that the show was not as powerful as it was a year before. I think this event was hosted once every 5 years but recently they decided to keep it going every year. Vendors interested in buying wholesale patches please contact me.

Scenes from Daytona Bike Week 2010
Mar 8th
Daytona Bike Week is now over, it was overall a very nice long week with lots of sunshine and a few days of rain. The first Saturday was really a bummer followed by a week of sunshine but cold weather. I’m just getting ready to put up some of the pictures I took rolling around town with my van selling wholesale biker patches to vendors. Enough said here are the pictures with some captions. Until next time, take care.
- A classic biker
- Met Big Sue across from Destination Daytona. She has a small low overhead patch business. She uses her century old singer sewing machine and offers Bikers a selection of small patches.
- Berhan was complaining about the lack of business he was getting at his official gear store in Destination Daytona. They have a nice selection of Biker and Touristic Souveneirs
- I try to snap pictures of Bikers with patches on their vests. This guy has got quite the works on his jacket
- more bikes under the palms and blue skies on main street
- This is Musti working one of the busier tents at Destination Daytona. He comes up to do this show every year from West Palm Florida
- This guy has a nice Harley
- Here is a biker with some patches on his leather vest. Hope he surfs the web and buys his patches cheap from me
- took this photo right by beach access
- enjoying his new Harley riding it under cool sunny weather in Daytona. Patch businesses were loving the fact that Bikers were wearing there leather jackets and vests. More sewing business for them!
- Elaine owns On the Fringe leather at Destination Daytona. They have a very unique store specializing in high end leather. They do sell some patches on the side as well. These gals from Canada can really make you a nice custom vest
- good from far, far from good. Gals shaking their booties at a bar on main street
- These guys had some massive eagle patches on the back of their vests
- Here is Ozzy with a weird smile on his face. He was running a small tent on the parking lot of Destination Daytona, Late Rossmeyer’s masterpiece Harley Store in Ormond on US-1
- captured the welcome bikers sign on main street. It was not the biggest turnout by far. Cold weather must have had something to do with it. Canadians were loving it though.
- this is what the main street was like on Thursday
- Fuat is also running a tent at Destination Daytona. A picture of his dad next to him on this shot.
- Bikes and Palm Trees under blue skies in Daytona for the entire week almost
- here are some more guys hanging out on main street
- This is Peggy from On The Fringe at Destination Daytona
- I thought he had a pretty neat motorcycle
- Choppers are still around in 2010
- I saw Hayat who was making sure his leathers weren’t walking out of his tent without a payment. He owns Milwaukee Leather and travels to all the major motorcycle rallies
- here is a Biker with a mohawk attached to his helmet riding on A1A Atlantic Avenue
- Bikes buzzing on A1A
Friends from Daytona
Mar 3rd
Some faces I bumped into walking around town during Daytona Bike Week.
- Bumped into Brad running around town trying to get to a million places at once. He is in good health and complaining about people knocking on his passenger window. Apparently it doesn’t have power windows
- Saw Cathy taking a cigarette break at Cem’s booth on International Speedway. They’ve got a good selection of patches on their tables including a selection of Harley patches priced reasonably.
- Here is Scott trying to sell a pair of chaps to a biker
- And he finally smiles for the camera. Scott’s got some nice selection of leather in his booth and a sewer on duty as well ready to tailor fit and customize your purchases.
- Dropped some Daytona event patches at Omar’s who was all smiles. His setup across from the Iron Horse Saloon on US-1 past Ormond on the way to Destination Daytona is looking good. You can get great quality leather jackets at the lowest price at his place.
