Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Donations
If you or someone you know has been touched by breast cancer you’re not alone. Breast cancer affects some 200,000 women and 1,700 men diagnosed as new cases every year. In women, it is the second highest cause of cancer deaths, second only to skin cancer. At The Cheap Place we want to help those suffering from this terrible disease as well as their families. We have created a two-pronged donation program to do just that.
Helping Families Directly
The first part of the program directly helps those who are holding fundraising activities for breast cancer victims. The Cheap Place will donate a package of 50 embroidered pink ribbon patches that can be used for raffles, auctions, and direct sales at fundraisers. All we ask is that those who request the packages provide us with their stories in written form along with pictures we can post on our website. We want to publish these stories in order to raise awareness and put names to faces because we know a personal touch can encourage others to get involved.
Enlisting the Help of All our Customers
The second part of the program involves our retail customers who may, or may not, be struggling with breast cancer. We have created a specific embroidered patch category featuring the pink ribbon of breast cancer awareness. For every one of these patches we sell we will donate another one to a package of 50 that will eventually go to fund raising efforts. To date The Cheap Place has sold 2,500 pink ribbon patches; that’s enough to create 50 fundraising packages for needy families.
We hope you will join with us in helping families whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. The Cheap Place is happy to give back to the community after all the years of loyalty you’ve shown to our company. Together our efforts can make a real impact on the lives of cancer victims and their families.
