Creep People Out with this Blue Skull Pin

Blue Eye Skull PinTired of seeing goofy little skulls everywhere?  Skulls are supposed to be kind of evil and creepy looking, but there are a number of stickers, patches, and the like that feature comical, funny looking skulls that aren’t scary at all.  However, this Blue Eye Skull Pin is definitely not one of them.  It’s certainly scary, especially when you notice all the spikes on its head.  This is one of several cool pins you’ll find on The Cheap Place, but it’s one of just a few scary skulls.

This skull pin features a weird grinning smile, glowing blue eyes, and many spikes on its head.  It’s made from pewter and has a silver color.  The pin measures about 1 inch across and 1.25 inches high.  It weighs only about .3 ounces.  It attaches to your clothing with two nail backings and standard clutches.

If you’re looking for a great pin to add to your jacket that isn’t something cute or cuddly, this is definitely an option.  It looks good alongside several skull patches, too.

Hang Your Sunglasses off This American Flag Pin

American Flag Sunglass Hanger PinThere are a lot of different pins on The Cheap Place.  Most of them are decorative.  These metal pins can add just about anything to your vest or jacket.  However, there are some that are actually useful in addition to being decorative.  These Sunglass Pins are designed to give you a place to put your sunglasses when you’re not wearing them.  You just slip one of the sides of your glasses down through the loop.  Your glasses will stay in place until you want them again.  The pin can hold either sunglasses or reading glasses.  The US Flag Sunglasses Hanger Pin features an US Flag above the sunglass hanger ring.

While this pin doesn’t perfectly recreate the U.S. flag (it only has seven stripes and a handful of stars), the image and shape makes it clear what this pin is supposed to be.  The pin is made out of pewter and features red, white, blue, and metallic silver colors on it.  It attached to your jacket with two nail backings (it uses two so it doesn’t spin).  The pin also comes with leather spacers that help if you’re using it with thin fabrics.  These leather spacers give it extra strength.

You don’t want to put your sunglasses in your pocket because they can get scratched or crushed.  Wearing them up on your head can look goofy, and they can fall off very easily.  Instead, slip them on this hanger pin.  They won’t get scratched or lost.

A Sweet Angel Pin

Angel On Bike PinMany bikers decorate their jackets and vests with patches, and it can sometimes be difficult to tell whose jacket is whose at first glance.  However, you can almost always tell if a jacket belongs to a man or a woman.  Men tend to go with skull patches or patches with flames.  Women, on the other hand, usually have feathers or angel wing patches.  This isn’t always the case, of course—some women love to decorate their jackets with skulls.  In general, though, women have angels where men have skulls.  The Angel on Bike Pin, then, would make a nice compliment to angel wing patches.  It’s found in the Pins section of The Cheap Place.

This little pin features a small angel riding a bike.  Well, maybe not riding—it looks like she’s standing on the seat.  But since she’s got wings, she doesn’t really fear falling off.  The bike isn’t made to resemble any certain brand or model, so anyone can wear it.  It’s secured to your clothing with two small nails on the back.  This way, it won’t spin around.  You don’t want your angel riding upside down!  The pin is two inches wide and an inch tall, so while it’s big enough to be easily seen, it’s not too large.  It’s made out of pewter and has a shiny, silver appearance.

If you’re looking for something to add to your jacket that’s not a patch, a pin is a good alternative.  Since they’re usually fairly small, you can usually find a space for one.  The angel on bike pin is perfect for the lady biker who wants something a bit different.

A Great American Flag Pin

American Flag PinSome people love putting patches on their jackets, but others change jackets so often that they would rather have something they can move from coat to coat.  If you don’t want to buy the same patch for every jacket you own, you might want to get pins instead.  Most patches have a pin that looks very similar to it.  For example, the American Flag Pin resembles many flag patches.  The main difference here is that the pin flag is a little smaller than patches.  It measures .75 inches by .75 inches.

If you’re looking for a good metal pin, this is certainly a great quality item.  It’s more than just a flat piece of metal; it’s got a 3D feel to it.  The silver lines between the stripes, the stars, and the flagpole are slightly raised, giving it a nice ridged feel.  The blue, red, and white colors stand out very clearly and brightly.  It attached to any material using a single back nail and clutch backing.

The flag here isn’t just a square flag.  It’s attached to a flag pole and is done in a slightly wavy fashion to make it look like it’s flapping in the air.  It’s a nice variation on the standard square U.S. flag.

The Protectors of Freedom Eagle Pin

Air Force Eagle PinIf you’re an Air Force member, veteran, or supporter, there are a lot of different pins you can add to your jacket to show your support.  One favorite is the Air Force Eagle Pin.  It features a large eagle head with the U.S. Air Force logo beside it.  The words “Protectors of Freedom” are included on the pin to remind everyone just how much our air force does for us.

Like many pins you’ll find on The Cheap Place, this eagle pin isn’t a flat pin.  It has a 3D look and feel to it—parts are raised, such as the brown lines between the eagle’s feathers.  These types of pins are easier to see and look better than flat pins.  They also don’t scratch as easily.  The Air Force Eagle Pin measures 1.25 inches high and one inch wide.  The pin fastens in place with a standard clutch backing.

The Air Force logo featured on the pin is a somewhat simplified version of the official logo.  It doesn’t include the full text in the outer circle (it simplifies it to “United States Air Force”).  However, the eagle above the shield on the inside of the circle is fairly accurate.  It’s as close as you can get with a pin this small.  The actual seal is pretty detailed and has a number of different colors on it, while the pin only uses white, blue, silver, and brown.

Hard to Believe It’s Been Ten Years

10th Anniversary September 11 PinSome events seem like they occurred just yesterday.  The terrible events of September 11, 2001, for example, are still fresh in everyone’s minds, especially those who lost someone in the attacks.  It’s hard to believe it’s been over ten years already.  To commemorate this anniversary, The Cheap Place has a number of Pins related to it.  The 10th Anniversary September 11 Pin is a colorful and nice way of honoring those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of 2001.

This pin is made out of stamped metal.  It measures one inch wide by 1.2 inches tall.  This is because there’s a small banner underneath the circular image of the eagle, American flag, towers, and the Pentagon.  This pin has several unique features.  The images and lettering are raised slightly, giving it a 3-D look and feel.  It also includes the Pentagon, something many 9/11 pins and patches do not do.  If you lost someone in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon, this pin may be perfect for you.

The 10th Anniversary pin weighs only .20 ounces and can be pinned on any material.  It fastens with a single back nail and a clutch backing.  Add one of these pins to your jacket, vest, or hat to show you remember those who were lost and honor those who worked so hard to rescue the victims of the attacks.
