Do You Live to Ride
Feb 2nd
The Cheap Place has a number of different Rocker Patches. These patches feature famous biker saying, patriotic sayings with flags, and military division names. Some of them are good sized, while others are smaller and designed to go on your shoulders. One of the famous biker saying patches is the Live to Ride Rocker patch.
The lettering on this patch is embroidered in white, and it’s in a decorative font that is both easy to read and looks a bit different. A line of dashed white goes around the letters, making them stand out even more. A thick black border goes around the outside of the patch, which makes it easy to sew it onto leather. Of course, if you’d rather put it on a piece of clothing that’s not leather, you can iron it on using the heat-activated adhesive on the back. You just can’t use that on leather—it will ruin it!
The Live to Ride patch reflects your dedication to motorcycle riding and to your biker brothers and sisters. It’s 3.75 inches long by 1.5 inches wide, so it’s small enough to fit just about anywhere. I’d recommend putting it on your jacket shoulder or on the top part of a vest. Because of the shape, it’s not the best patch to use to cover a rip in an older piece of clothing. However, if you want a decorative patch with a great slogan, this may be the perfect one for you.
Never Give Up Your Weapons
Feb 2nd
The right to bear arms can be a polarizing issue. Some people absolutely believe that guns are a necessity. There’s no way they would feel safe without them, and if someone were to break into their home, they would be defenseless without a gun. On the other hand, some people believe that owning guns increases crime. If you’re in favor of guns, you probably have seen some of the images and slogans featured on the 2nd Amendment Patches. You might even own a few of these patches yourself. If you don’t and you want one, or if you’re looking for another one, the Never Surrender Right to Bear Arms Patch in Black is a great one to get.
Some patches that support a cause or idea are nothing more than a black rectangle with a slogan. However, this patch is much more. Sure, it has the phrase “Never surrender right to bear arms” on it, but those words surround a very colorful U.S. flag and eagle with crossed guns beneath it. Even though it’s only 4 by 3.25 inches in size, this patch has as much color and detail as some of the large 12 by 12 patches. It’s possibly the most detailed small patch I’ve seen.
If you believe the Founding Fathers were correct in adding the second amendment to the Constitution and that removing it would be foolish, this is definitely a patch you need. Proclaim your love of guns and your right to bear arms in style.
Decorate Your Vest in Blue and Black
Feb 2nd
The many different Star Patches come in a variety of colors, so you’re sure to find one that you like. You might want to pick a star patch done in your favorite colors, or you and your fellow riders might want to select a couple of colors to be your motorcycle club colors. If you like blue and black, you’ll want to go with the Blue Black Star Patch.
These two colors are somewhat on the darker side, but they do look very nice together. You could attach them to white or light colored clothing so they’ll stand out, or use them to accent a dark leather jacket. The star measure three by three, so it’s the perfect size to put on the lapel of a vest or the sleeve of a jacket. Some biker clubs like to use stars to show how many years a rider has been a member of the club or to denote special officers. Others just like to use stars as decoration.
This patch is a nautical star, meaning that each point of the star is separated into two colors. The left side of each point is black, while the right side is blue. These five-point stars are often used by those in the navy or the marines, and they also look like the five point stars found on the U.S. flag.
This patch features die cut borders that make it easy to sew onto leather clothing, and they also have iron-on adhesive on the back that makes them very easy to attach to other types of materials.
Keep Safe and Be Patriotic
Feb 2nd
Riding at night can be quite dangerous. Actually, doing anything at night can be dangerous, especially if you’re near traffic. That’s why it’s always important to wear bright, reflective clothing. But that kind of clothing really isn’t the biker look, is it? Well, there’s a way around that—add some neat Reflective Patches to your dark leather jacket. There are many different patches that look great and can keep you safe. If you’re patriotic, you might want to add an American Flag Reflective Patch to your jacket.
This patch is your basic, standard United States flag with two slight twists. The first is that, obviously, it’s reflective. The second is that it has a thick silver border around it. This border makes it very easy to sew it on to leather clothing without it looking odd. Why? If you used black thread, for example, it would easily show up in the red, white, and blue. Use red, and it still shows up in the white and blue. With multicolored patches that don’t have a border, it’s really hard to sew them on and make them look nice. Of course, if you’re attaching this patch to non-leather items, just iron it on.
This reflective patch isn’t too large—it measures three inches by two inches—so it can be worn on a jacket sleeve or on the front of your vest. You could even put it on your back pants pocket, but then it wouldn’t really help keep you safe at night. Be sure you have at least one reflective patch on your dark clothing if you’re riding at night. Always be safe!
A Very Beautiful Tribal Feathers Patch
Feb 1st
There are many beautiful designs in the Native Indian Patches category. These many different patches represent different items that are sacred or revered in the Native American belief system. One such symbol that is often used for decoration is the feather, especially brightly colored feathers. The Tribal Feathers Patch features two turquoise features hanging down from a small circle. The patch also features tan and red to add some extra colors, plus a thick black outline that makes the feathers really jump out. You can also use this border for sewing if you’re going to sew the patch on leather.
In Native American culture, feathers symbolize spiritual evolution and ascension to a higher plane. Chieftains and other high ranking officials often wear feathers to show their connection to the spirit world. Medicine men may wear feathers to show that they are communicating with the ancestors and have received spiritual or celestial knowledge. Feathers also represent the thunder gods and the element of the air.
Of course, feathers also had practical uses. The feathers from geese were particularly prized by archers. They were used to decorate masks and homes, plus items like Dreamcatchers and prayer sticks. Feathers were used by almost every tribe, but their specific uses and symbols differed from tribe to tribe.
The tribal feathers patch measures 6.5 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. It looks especially great on a jacket sleeve. You can put one on either sleeve, or you could use these patches on the back of your jacket and put a larger patch in between. Either way, it’s a very pretty patch.
Make Your Ears Look Bad Ass
Feb 1st
The Cheap Place has a lot of different jewelry in different styles. Some of it looks like jewelry you might find at any jewelry shop, but some of it is very unique. One of these more unique pieces of jewelry is the set of Brass Knuckle Ear Rings.
This pair of lead-free pewter earrings is shaped just like brass knuckles. They’re an inch by half an inch in size. They only weigh about .10 ounces, so you won’t feel any stress on your ears.
Brass knuckles, if you aren’t familiar with them, are weapons often used in street brawls and other hand to hand fights. A brass knuckle is a piece of metal with a T-shape on one end and four loops for your fingers on the other. The t-shaped part fits into the palm of the hand. This weapon is designed to make your punches more painful by concentrating all of that force on a smaller, harder contact area. They also help reduce any contact damage to your fingers when you hit bone.
Brass knuckles are actually misnamed—they’re almost always made from steel these days and, in the past, were often made of iron or lead. There were some that were made from brass, though, and even some made out of wood. Some of the oldest brass knuckles were used in the American Civil War in the 1860’s. These weapons were also used in France by criminals and during both World Wars.
In some countries, such as Canada, they are on the list of prohibited weapons. In the United States, it is legal to sell them, but some states do not allow them to be carried and used. These lovely earrings, however, turn this weapon into a nice decoration for your ears.
