The Golden Aspen Rally is one of the nation's best attended and most famous annual motorcycle rallies. Like the New York Americade Rally and the Texas Lone Star Rally, it is one of the AMA's three annual rallies. The event draws an estimated total of 30,000 attendees. The Golden Aspen Rally is held annually on the third week of September in, New Mexico and has been ongoing for three decades since 1986.

In the past, this big bike event has drawn as many as 28,000 riders, not including their friends and family. The Annual Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally has been growing in popularity over the years. It was previously held at the Ruidoso Downs Racetrack. But the rally expanded to the larger Mountain Gods Resort venue in 2011 to accommodate the growing numbers of attendees.

There will be prizes awarded on Saturday, September 17, in the evening. Winners must be present to receive their prizes or forfeit. The pre-registration price is $42. Those with a current AMA registration get a $2 discount. There will be a gate registration, but tickets sold at the gate will not include the Chuckwagon Dinner Ticket. Gate Ticket buyers will instead receive a Meal Ticket that can be redeemed at K-Bobs Steakhouse. The Gate Ticket is $47 per person.

Cruise through the low desert scrub, the hot and dusty roads of the American Southwest, and the high breathless peaks. Cruise at elevations reaching as high as 6,600 ft in a quiet mountain town with a population of just 1,230. Short of California's Highway 1 this is arguably one of the most winding, mountainous and variable rally courses in the continental United States.
