The Small Cool Patches section at The Cheap Place is aptly named. Consider today's blog subject, the Lone Wolf No Clubs patch, as evidence. When you look at it, doesn't it remind you of something out of a Looney Tunes cartoon? In fact, the wolf on this patch looks just like the one Bugs Bunny met when Looney Tunes did their version of Little Red Riding Hood.
That's why I think this patch is so cool. I used to watch Looney Tunes as a kid; every Saturday morning from 6 AM to 9 AM I got to see all my old favorites. It was three hours of cartoon bliss where I got to sit mindlessly in front of the television while my parents slept. It was the best part of the week because I knew when mom and dad awoke, they were going to put me to work.
Of all the lone wolf patches I've seen I think this one is the best. It makes the point in a friendly, cartoonish sort of way without the usual creepy, sinister looking character that most lone wolf patches display. Not that I'm against those other characters - to each his own - but I'm just more laid-back. I prefer softer approach. And because this patch is only 3 inches in diameter you can put in on a shoulder, or the front of a jacket, without being obnoxious. For my money, I think it's the perfect lone wolf patch.
