River Arts Inc. Hosts Harley-Davidson Exhibition

1941 KnuckleheadRiver Arts Inc. will host a Harley-Davidson exhibition this fall at their center gallery in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin.  The exhibit will mainly feature Harley-Davidson motorcycles and Paragon Customs.  Visitors to the gallery will be able to browse motorcycles from a number of decades, including some very early bikes.  In addition to motorcycles, the gallery will also features artifacts and collectibles from private collections and a number of different pieces of art inspired by motorcycles and Harley-Davidson.  This event is perfect for bikers who want to learn more about the history of Harley-Davidson or see old biker items.

This will be a great opportunity to see some of these older motorcycles.  The event is being held in conjunction with the Sauk City, WI, Harley-Davidson dealership.  It will include items from the collection of Virgil 'Wolf' Schuelburg, the owner of the dealership.  Schuelburg purchased the dealership in 1979, four years after buying a Harley.  His 1941 Knucklehead will be included in the exhibit.  The company earned 17 Harley-Davidson Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Awards, awards that are only given out to the top 25 dealerships in the U.S.  Some of these awards will also be in the exhibit.

Some items being displayed where contributed by the Fielding family, the owners of the local Paragon Customs shop.  The business was founded by Russell Fielding, a professional biker who did a number of different motorcycle tricks and stunts.  Today, his grandson Ryan Fielding continues the family tradition of custom airbrushing and hot rodding that Russell started.

The exhibit will open on September 12 with a free reception that runs from 5:00 to 7:00 in the evening.  There will be light snacks and refreshments served and a riding demonstration hosted by Dee Dee Sorg.  Those who attend will also be entered into a giveaway.  Following this reception, the exhibition will be open 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on days that school is in session up through December 8.  The exhibition will also hold special weekend hours between 1:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon on the first and third Saturday of each month.

If you live in the area, do not miss your chance to see this unique motorcycle exhibition.  More information can be found at www.riverartsinc.org website.
