Many don’t realize it, but New Mexico is home to some of the country’s best motorcycle events. The state has unique terrain and offers several amazing runs. Charity and social events add to the fun, enabling bikers to come together for good causes and to have a great time. These six events represent the best of New Mexico’s summer season.

Motorado Classic Motorcycle Show June 19

This will be the show’s fifth annual appearance. Held every summer in Santa Fe, the Father’s Day show featured vintage bikes from every era. This year will include local talent, including Jessica Esper, who designed the awards. Another noteworthy inclusion is American Iron, who will be documenting the entire event. Anyone hoping to make an appearance in the magazine or simply looking to celebrate their enthusiasm can plan to visit the La Tienda in Eldorado between 10am and 3pm. Cycle Gear Bike Night June 28

Albuquerque will be joining the fun later in June when Bike Night makes its stop. The renowned series is a social event where good, drinks and vendors will be in sharp supply. Enthusiasts from all over the region will gather to show off their stuff and celebrate a mutual love of riding. Rough Rider Motorcycle Rally July 28

The weather won’t be the only thing heating up in July. Las Vegas will host the Rough Rider rally. Before you get too confused, remember that this is Las Vegas, New Mexico. That said, the event is always a great time. Founded in honor of Teddy Roosevelt’s famous Rough Riders, attendees can expect live music, vendors, refreshments and of course, tons of great bikes. Cruisin 2 Cure August 11-12

Hobbs will spice things up later in the summer with the Cruisin 2 Cure event. It will feature a host of booths, vendors and games for family-oriented fun. There will also be a poker run and door prizes where participants have a chance to win $100. The entire gathering aims to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, so motorcycle lovers can have a great time, celebrate their passion and make the world a healthier place in the process. Ride for the 4-H Clover August 25-27

Another charitable event, this right will start in Santa Fe and circle through beautiful northern New Mexico before returning to the origin a day later. The ride is hosted by New Mexico State University and benefits the Cooperative Extension Service and the variable 4-H programs. Cure Childhood Cancer 2016 Poker Run August 28

New Mexican bikers fight to make the world better, and they’ll wrap up the summer season in Rush, NM. The event will enjoy live music from Flint Creek and Two Worlds. Games, door prizes and raffles will be included in the fun, and proceeds will support CURE Childhood Cancer Association. After the Summer
