Women who are battling with confidence and self-image issues should hop on a Harley Davidson. According to a recent study released by the American motorcycle company, women who rode Harleys on a regular basis felt twice as confident about their image. Of course, this translates into them feeling sexier, as well. The study even suggests that female riders have better sex lives, which is something that both she and her partner can benefit from. The study performed by Kelton polled roughly 1,000 female Harley Davidson riders and 1,000 female non-Harley riders. The difference between bikers and non-bikers was like night and day, with female Harley riders claiming to lead happier, more sex-driven lives (nope, that's not a typo). Here's a short list of some of the findings of this Harley study performed by Kelton:
- 37% of riders report feeling happy all the time vs 16% of non-riders.
- 27% of riders report feeling sexy vs 7% of non-riders.
- 35% of riders report feeling confident all the time vs 18% of non-riders
- 53% of riders report their Harley as being a key source of happiness.
- 74% of riders say their lives have significantly improved since they began riding.
- 51% or riders say they physically intimate with their partner vs only 35% of non-riders
"Riding a motorcycle is the ultimate form of freedom and self-expression, so it makes sense that women riders are happier in life and, in general, feel more fulfilled," said Harley Davidson director of women's outreach Claudia Garber.
Another interesting statistic of this Harley study is that nearly half of all female riders polled say their are "extremely satisfied with the current state of their relationship." When non-riders were asked this same question, only 30% of them gave this answer.
So, why are women happier and feel sexier when they're riding a Harley? I'm no Nostradamus, but it's pretty obvious that riding a motorcycle gives you a boost of endorphins. There's no feeling quite like that of driving down the road on your bike. Whether it's a Harley or crotch rocket, riding a motorcycle gives you a sense of happiness that's not found in other mediums.
Of course, there's probably some truth to motorcycles making female riders look sexier. In my opinion, women naturally look sexier when they're straddling a Harley. I guess this is a matter of opinion, but it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks female riders are sexy.
