Motorcycle clubs are groups of people whose primary interest is their motorcycle. The clubs will often be organized around a make or brand of motorcycle or around a type of riding. Motorcycle clubs were predominantly made up of male members for a number of years but recently we have been seeing a rise in the number of female only motorcycle clubs. The most famous of all motorcycle clubs is the male-only Hell's Angels, but these days clubs like the Venice Vixens and the East Side Moto Babes are changing the face of the motorcycle club scene.
Coming Together Over a Love of Bikes
For years, the motorcycle club scene has been dominated by men with their big bikes and their leather gear covered in biker patches. However, many women enjoy riding too and they are forming their own clubs and riding their own bikes. They are even investing in ladies biker patches for their own leathers and are sticking a one-fingered salute up at the boys! A fine example of a lady biker patch is the 'I may need men for some things but riding a motorcycle is not one of them' patch. This lets the men know that women do not need them to enjoy a motorcycle ride.
At The Cheap Place, we are not going to disagree, we believe that there should be more women bikers out there. We love our motorcycles and our biking gear and can completely understand why these women have set up their own clubs!
