Texas Outlaws Prove Not All MC Clubs the Same

I recently ran across a post from a lady with young children who ran out of gas on a country road in Dothan, Texas. She wrote of how she was terrified when she heard the thunder of approaching motorcycles and was sure she and her kids would die when a group of Outlaws stopped to check on her. Instead, she says they left one biker with her to keep her and the kids company while the remainder went and bought her some gas. She concluded the post by saying that her impression of the Outlaws motorcycle club had forever changed that night. She is now an outspoken supporter of the club.

Despite the club's bad reputation and a custom club patch featuring an ominous skull and two crossed pistons, this young lady maintains the Outlaws in Dothan are a great bunch of guys. Not only that, her post was followed up by dozens of comments supporting her view with stories and anecdotes of their own. It just goes to show that not all motorcycle clubs are the same. It's also pretty good proof that what we see on television and in the movies is not always necessarily true. Perhaps that's why the Outlaws don't like The History Channel.

Though I don't personally ride anymore, I never experienced any trouble with biker clubs when I was riding. I learned early on that if you give respect you get in return. While it's true that not all bikers and clubs share the same core values it's also true that not all out to cause trouble. Most patched bikers join a club because they value the brotherhood that comes with it; not because they are looking for trouble.
