Hollywood Critics: The Real Cowards in America

American SniperAmerican Sniper, the recently released film depicting the trials of U.S. sniper Chris Kyle during the Iraq war, shattered box office records in its first weekend of release, generating more than $105 million. One wonders how people like Michael Moore and Seth Rogen are reacting to the news. It must have them seething with rage. However, what else would we expect from the real cowards in America?

As you know, Rogen was among the first of the Hollywood elite to react to the release of the film. He took to Twitter in an attempt to link American Sniper to a fictional Nazi propaganda film that appeared in the Quentin Tarantino film, Inglorious Basterds. Rogen tweeted:

"American Sniper kind of reminds me of the movie that's showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds.''

The intent of Rogen's tweet is obvious to anyone who has seen Inglorious Basterds. He linked American Sniper to that fictional Nazi propaganda film to imply that the masterful Clint Eastwood piece is also propaganda, propaganda produced by Americans in defense of a war Rogen disagrees with. For hiding behind Twitter in his Hollywood mansion, it is fair to say Seth Rogan is a coward.

Enter Michael Moore who added his two cents with the following tweet:

"My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren't heroes. And invaders r worse'

Such mindless ramblings are nothing new from Mr. Moore. In fact, he makes no bones about his disdain for everything American. He hates the U.S. military, as evidenced by his view that invaders r worse. In case you missed it, that comment was meant to imply that the U.S. military was an invader without cause in Iraq. Would Moore call police officers responding to his plea for help during a home invasion robbery 'invaders'. After all, they would be responding to save his pathetic life.

The reality is that Moore hates morality, conservatism, traditional religious values, and anything else that is at odds with his liberal, leftist worldview. Moreover, as with most people in his position in Hollywood, he hides behind the cameras and microphones of the paparazzi as he spews his hatred indiscriminately. Michael Moore is a coward.

Just once, I'd like to see the Michael Moores and Seth Rogans of the world stand face-to-face with the likes of Chris Kyle and speak the words they so unashamedly tweet. Just once I'd like to see them lying on top of a bombed out building in the middle of Iraq looking through a scope at an enemy soldier with a mortar in his arms. Those who have been there understand that pulling the trigger is no easy decision. Doing so is not cowardice; it is bravery. To risk one's own life and accept the responsibility of taking another in order to protect the innocent is one of the greatest acts of heroism one could engage in.

To Michael Moore and Seth Rogen, heroism amounts to refusing to stay at a hotel owned by a Middle Eastern Sultan with whom you disagree. But hey, they can always return to their posh Hollywood mansions where they will find all of the creature comforts of home waiting for them.

Anti-American, Anti-Gun

Moore, Rogen, and those who think like them have clearly shown a disdain for the U.S. military. Nevertheless, it goes deeper than that. Hollywood is, by and large anti-American and anti-gun. They hate America because it stands for freedom and liberty; two things leftists can't tolerate. They hate guns because they are the instruments that first won our freedom and now protect it.

Exhibit A for the anti-gun crowd is none other than actor Liam Neeson, an actor who has shown a proclivity for using guns in his films. Mr. Neeson said in a recent interview, there are too many [bleeping] guns out there, especially in America. He went on to say:

"I think the population is like, 320 million. There's over 300 million guns, privately owned, in America. I think it's a [bleeping] disgrace."

Thank you, Mr. Neeson for your expert analysis of American culture and society. Perhaps you need a refresher on all of the other things that kill people like cars, airplanes, boats, knives, drugs, alcohol, animals, and on and on. Would you support banning of all them.

While we're at it, let's consider what Hollywood sportscaster Bryant Gumbel had to say about the National Rifle Association in a recent Rolling Stone interview:

"There are few things I hate more than the NRA...they don't care about human life. I think they are a curse upon the American landscape."

If you are a member of the NRA, Bryant Gumbel thinks you are a pig and curse. He believes you don't care about human life. I wonder what he thinks about Planned Parenthood. I wonder what he thinks about ISIS. I would really like to know what Mr. Gumbel thinks about hundreds of thousands of gun-owning Union troops who killed in order to free his ancestors.

Utopia Is a Fantasy

The likes of Michael Moore, Seth Rogen, Liam Neeson, and Bryant Gumbel long for the day when Utopia is established here on earth. Unfortunately for them, they will never see it happen. There is evil in the world, that is reality. Evil is as sure as death and taxes. The only way to prevent evil from prevailing is to fight it, full force.

In the utopian fantasy of Hollywood, people join hands all over the globe to sing a kitschy jingle and drink cola. It is a fantasy world where everyone agrees with them; a world in which no one struggles, no one is uncomfortable and, of course, America is as poor, wretched, and destitute as she can be. It is ironic that the very principles utopians despise are the principles that allow them to prosper.

For the record, utopianism equals cowardice. The only way for utopianism to thrive is for everyone to fall in line behind the one who is calling all the shots. There is no room for disagreement. There is no room for dissension. There is only room for cowards who will shut up and do what they are told. And if they are told to say stupid things like 'snipers are cowards', that's exactly what they'll do.

Real Bravery to Be Admired

It didn't take a lot of bravery for Seth Rogen and Michael Moore to tweet their mindless inanity. Liam Neeson and Bryant Gumbel did not have to stare danger in the face to tell the world how they really feel about guns and gun owners. You see, these four Hollywood elites all have something in common: they can say what they want without risk. All four of them can disparage those with whom they disagree without any fear of retribution.

Moore will not lose a dime by speaking his mind. Rogen's marketability as an actor will not suffer at all because of his words. Neeson will continue making movies involving guns, despite his obvious repulsion. And Mr. Gumbel, he will keep trying to impress us with his self-conceived intellect without interruption. It's easy to behave like an elitist when there are no consequences.

On the other hand, Chris Kyle faced the very real risk of a bullet in his back or piece of shrapnel lodged in his skull. Every man or woman who has ever been present on the battlefield faces the very real consequence of limbs lost or lives ended. And yet, time after time, those men and women have stared into the face of certain death and fulfilled their duty. That is real bravery that is to be admired.

Back here on American soil, there are parents who stand up to rogue school boards despite the very real danger of facing the repercussions of child protective services. There are people of faith who risk being thrown in jail in order to protect the rights of others. There are business owners who risk the loss of everything they've worked hard for in order to protect freedom of speech. These are brave people to be admired.

Hollywood elitists like Michael Moore and Seth Rogen have risked nothing. They stand for nothing other than enriching their own bank accounts and recruiting as many people as possible to join their gaggle of groupies. The ironic thing they fail to realize is that if, God forbid, we were ever to be invaded and conquered by a group like ISIS, they would be among the first to be executed because of the Hollywood filth they put out. It has probably never occurred to them that it is only the brave men and women they despise standing between them and their end.

The majority of Americans admire the Chris Kyle's of the world. The majority of Americans admire our genuine heroes and respect what they do. As for Michael Moore and his ilk, they are the real cowards in America.
