The word amen gets thrown around quite a bit. Most people use the word in church to agree with what the preacher says during a sermon. It can also be heard generally when someone REALLY agrees with something said just about anywhere. Such as you are standing in line and someone acts like a jerk and someone speaks up and says what a jerk and then you will hear AMEN from someone else.. I suppose that it can be used anytime someone is in agreement with what is said.
