Now that spring is just about here families all across United States will begin planning their annual family reunions. My wife's family holds their annual get-together every July in one of New York's finest state parks. Relatives come from all over the state as well as other parts of the country; some even come from as far away as Ireland and Scotland. And every year the family hands out T-shirts to help mark the occasion. But this year I'm going to suggest something different: custom embroidered patches. And since I know someone who buys wholesale patches, I'm sure he can get us a good price.
Purchasing embroidered patches instead of T-shirts would offer us a couple of distinct advantages. Right off the bat, it gives us the option of coming up with our own unique design that can take full advantage of shape and color. Second, they are considerably less costly than T-shirts unless you're content to buy the cheap, white, polyester shirts that don't last more than couple of months. And third, it allows some of the older family members who don't wear T-shirts something they can attach to their own piece of clothing or mount on a wall plaque.
This is such a great idea it might easily be an attractive line of seasonal business for patch resellers. You could get design ideas from your customers, submit those designs to a supplier like The Cheap Place, then present your customers with a unique patch specific to their family and annual reunion gathering. And because you're buying wholesale patches at less than retail price, you can sell them to customers for a decent profit. You probably couldn't earn a living on family reunion patches, but it makes great seasonal business during the summer months.
