If you're never attended a biker rally before, you might not know what exactly to expect. Biker rallies aren't all the same, of course, buy many of them do feature some common elements. For example, you're almost always guaranteed to find a vender section at all rallies. This is where you can shop for new gear, biker patches, motorcycle parts, and just about anything else related to biking. You can even buy new bikes at some of these rallies! In addition to parts and item venders, some rallies also bring in food venders to help keep you full and happy during the rally.
Most biker rallies include races. In fact, some of the biggest rallies around, such as the Sturgis rally, started out as a race. Sometimes, these races require an entry fee, but other times, they don't. The length of the race depends on the location of the rally. Sometimes, there are different races, some for women, some for specific types of bikes, etc.
Poker rides are also a part of rallies. These rides involve going to certain locations in and around the rally and getting a playing card. At the end of the ride, whoever has the best hand wins. These are usually more leisurely rides than the races.
A lot of rallies feature live entertainment. The bigger ones will usually have a headliner band or artist who is fairly well-known. They will also include a number of local musicians. In addition to music, rallies feature different contests, games, and other activities. Because more and more families are attending rallies together, some even feature activities for the kids.
Every rally is a little bit different, but all of them are full of fun. If you've never been, you don't know what you're missing!
