Bikers from around the country are gathering this weekend (September 13 through the 16, 2012) in Lake Ozark, Missouri, for the sixth annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikerfest. This awesome event is one of the biggest biker gatherings in Missouri, and it's guaranteed to be a lot of fun. The rally blends rides, bars, restaurants, live entertainment, awesome bikers, venders, and some amazing views to create what is sure to be a memorable experience. Even better, it's being held during one of the best times of the year, the summer heat is over, but it's not too cold yet. It's perfect biking weather!
There's a lot to enjoy at the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest. There's a passport run hosted by Lake of the Ozarks Harley Davidson and the Full Throttle magazine, and many local businesses will be participating in it. Bikers visit each location to get their passports stamped, and the winner of the run is the first to visit all the venders. There are three different scenic rides you can take while in Lake Ozark. One goes around the lake, while the other two take you to nearby areas.
Of course there will be a lot of live entertainment at the rally. Bands include Moondogs, Amberfade, Boomchuks, and Stone Mountain Railroad. There's also a beer garden, a ton of places to eat in the area, and a lot of venders. If you need to pick up some motorcycle patches, new riding gear, or even want a new bike, this is the place to do it.
Admission to the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest is free, and there are plenty of hotels, campgrounds, and RV parks in the area.
