A Cool Iowa Rocker Patch

Iowa PatchIf you're from the great state of Iowa, you need this Iowa Patch!  It's one of the State Rockers Patches found on The Cheap Place, and it's perfect for showing your pride in your home state.  These patches are designed to fit on the upper shoulder of your jacket, but you can also wear them on the front of the jacket or on your vest's breast pocket.  You could even put them on your pants if you wanted to, although they're not really large enough to cover a big rip.  They measure 4 by 1.75 inches.  The Iowa Patch features large, white letters on a black background.  It also has die cut edges for sewing it on to leather and a plastic iron on backing for attaching it to other materials.

Iowa's name comes from the Ioway tribe, which originally occupied the state.  Iowa was first a part of New France, a French colony, but the U.S. purchased it as a part of the Louisiana Purchase.  It became the 29th state in 1846.  The capital and largest city of Iowa is Des Moines.

Settlers began building up the agricultural exports of the state, giving it the nickname of the Food Capital of the World.  It's also called the Hawkeye State and is considered a part of the Corn Belt.  In more recent times, Iowa has moved away from a purely agricultural-based economy.  Today, the state is home to a number of manufacturing plants, financial services, and green energy research, development, and production.  Iowa has been ranked as one of the safest states to live in as well as being a leader in environmental development.  It's a great state to live in and to visit.
