Do you ever get the feeling someone's watching you? Maybe they are. At least according to the One Nation Under Surveillance patch from The Cheap Place. I found it today while browsing through the American Patches section. It utilizes the typical red, white, and blue of the American flag against a black background. And carefully embroidered on the right side, in white, is the silhouette of a security camera.
Now, I'm not paranoid by stretch of the imagination, but I must admit that I'm a little uncomfortable with the idea presented here. Especially since the police in my town are installing red light security cameras at some of our busiest intersections. I understand these cameras are supposed to be used only to catch individuals who run red lights, but they could be used for a lot more. Are they a violation of our constitutional guarantee against unreasonable search and seizure?
I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that this patch should be a hit among the anti-government crowd. For a really profound statement you should attached it to a jacket, just on the ridge of the shoulder, to demonstrate Big Brother looking over it. It's pretty tricky place to put a patch, so you might want to sew it on using needle and thread. If you're going to mount it on a safer location, as long as it's not leather, you can use a hot on the heat-activated glue on the back.
