Don't Tax My Patches!

Yesterday I posted a blog on the subject of being an American rebel. Today I figured we'd continue the theme with the Law Of The Land Is The Constitution patch from the 2nd Amendment Patches section. The idea expressed here is something we haven't heard much about in the last 10 years. Unfortunately though, it's making a comeback. What am i talking about? The Constitution's protections versus the operations of the IRS.

This patch is perfect for people who mistrust the IRS. As I said, this topic has been pretty quiet recently, but back in the mid-90s the IRS was notorious for trampling on the individual rights guaranteed by the Constitution. They were especially aggressive toward churches and other nonprofits in trying to uncover and penalize even the smallest infractions. Things were so bad that the Congress had to intervene and tell the IRS to back off.

It might be time to start distributing these patches to once again make Americans more aware of this virtually unregulated agency. New IRS regulations enacted in 2009, and officially implemented in January 2011, reestablish the agency's mission to go after churches and other nonprofits. Whether or not you agree with the status of nonprofit organizations, this should still be of concern to you. After all, if the IRS can go after a church in clear violation of the Constitution, what will stop them from going after you? Only the education of the masses.

So buy a patch and start educating.
