I was browsing through the Biker Sayings section when I saw a patch that made me realize I have something in common with bikers. Though I'm no longer a biker myself, I completely agree with the sentiment found in the Born To Ride Forced To Work patch. For me, it's not so much motorcycles as it is airplanes, but I agree wholeheartedly with what's being said here. If I could spend all day up in the air, that would be heaven.
One of the things bikers love most about the lifestyle is the freedom of the open road. Having owned a motorcycle for several years I know that feeling. But for me, that feeling is magnified 1,000 times when I'm up in the air gliding over the earth below. Nothing beats an open cockpit biplane on a bright sunny day in July. But, I don't mean to take anything away from the biker's experience on terra firma.
For both of us the sentiment is the same. We work because it's reported to pay the bills, but if we could spend our days doing what we love, that would be the best. This patch says it all. In fact, this patch worn on a jacket, vest, or flight suit means you belong to one of the best clubs in America. A club that enjoys freedom and seeing everything the country has to offer. And the best part is, there's no initiation process. Just get a patch!
