I think I may have found my new favorite among the Second Amendment patches that The Cheap Place. It's the Gun In Hand Better Than Cop On Phone patch; a patch that describes how I feel about our law enforcement agencies at times. Don't get me wrong, I am supportive of the men in white in blue. But the fact remains they are terribly overburdened with the proliferation of crime and they certainly cannot be every place at once. That's why the preservation of the Second Amendment is so important.
The Second Amendment right to bear arms is absolutely necessary to allow the citizenry to protect themselves in the absence of authorities. I know this all too well from an experience I had many years ago, in the days before I was armed. This incident saw me come face-to-face with two thieves vandalizing cars in the neighborhood. I called the police about five o'clock in the morning, but the thieves escaped while the police didn't show up until six that evening.
This is a great patch for anyone who supports the Second Amendment. It would be a great patch to attach to your nylon gun case, your favorite shooting range hat, or even to your leather vest if you're a biker. I love the red, white, and blue color scheme because it ties in with the patriotic theme. And as far as I'm concerned, anything that lines up with the Constitution is pretty darn patriotic.
