Shakespeare on a Biker Patch?

To ride or not to ride stupid question patchHave America's bikers suddenly gone Renaissance? If you've seen the new To Ride Or Not To Ride Stupid Question patch in the Biker Sayings section you might be tempted to think so. That's because the patch is a knockoff on one of the most famous Shakespearean lines of all, "To be or not to be, that is the question." By the way, do you know what play that line is from? If not, go look it up while I finish talking about this patch.

The saying on this patch implies that questioning whether or not to ride is stupid. For an avid biker and club member this sentiment is obvious. Why would you spend tens of thousands of dollars on a Harley just to park it in your garage and drive the family minivan? Bikers buy bikes because they love the freedom that comes from riding. This patch expresses that thought rather adeptly; albeit in a rude, in-your-face sort of way.

At only 4" x 2" this patch is small enough that you can iron it to your clothing with the heat-activated glue on the back. Don't try to use this method with leather, it won't work. If you want to attach it to your vest or jacket, you'll have to sew it on yourself or hire someone who can use needle and thread. Now, the answer to my question: the famous line of which this patch speaks comes from none other than William Shakespeare's Hamlet.
