The 60s Live On in a Butterfly Patch

Do you love the 60s? Do you love patches? Then you've got to take a look in the Small Cool Patches section at The Cheap Place right now. On the first page you'll see the Colorful Butterfly patch which just oozes 1960s. From the butterfly image to the rainbow of colors, this patch epitomizes everything the hippie movement stood for back in the days of flower power, protest songs, free love, and tie-dyed shirts.

Personally, I wasn't born until 1965 so I was never part of the 60s counterculture. But there were still plenty of remnants around in the 1970s; enough that I became very familiar with what the movement was all about. It was a time when teenagers and young adults were filled with idealism in believing that we could all just get along if we simply checked out and tuned in. It was the era of Timothy Leary and mind altering drugs that made the colors of the butterfly seem all that more amazing.

The 60s aren't for me, but if you love that time period the butterfly patch is one you simply can't do without. It's only 4", but the bright colors will catch anyone's eye at 20 or 30 feet. I can just imagine it strategically located on the breast of a leather vest, on a bandanna, glued to the gas tank of your bike, or sewn to your seat. If you're a fan of 1960s, this one's for you.
