This Large Back Patch is Perfect for Firemen

Fire Dept Large Back PatchFiremen put their lives at risk every day.  Fires are incredibly unpredictable.  Sometimes a fire that looks like it's under control can suddenly shift and consume many other buildings or trees.  Fires that look incredibly dangerous, on the other hand, may actually be contained.  A firefighter doesn't always know which is which.  Then there's the risk of running into a burning building to save others.  If you put your life on the line as a firefighter, this Fire Dept Large Back Patch is the perfect addition to your jacket or vest.  It looks great, especially since the red and yellow really stand out.

This large emblem appears on many items associated with firefighters, including fire engines.  It's red and somewhat circular, although it's not a perfect circle.  In fact, it's loosely based on the Maltese Cross, a style of cross with eight points on the outside.  The logo is divided into four outer sections and an inner circle, each of which is outlined in yellow.  The top section has the word 'bravest', while the bottom says, 'Fire Dept'.  The left-hand symbol is the fire hydrant, which supplies water to the firefighter's hose.  The right side is an axe and ladder, the tools most often used to save people from burning buildings.  The center circle features a fireman's pole, ladder, axe, and fireman's hat, all of which are recognizable symbols of the profession (although the axe is done in a somewhat old fashioned design).

This large back firefighter patch measures 7 by 7 inches.  It's small enough that if you center it on the back, you can add other patches around it to create a really cool collage.
