An Awesome Marine Eagle Patch

US Marines Red Eagle PatchThe marines are a branch of a military force that specializes in amphibious assault and occupation.  While the marines often work together with the navy, they're not considered the same organization.  The name marine actually does mean 'navy' in a number of different languages, but sometimes the marines are a separate branch of the military.  Are you in the marines, or do you know someone who is and want to show your support for them?  One awesome way of doing this is to put a Large Red USMC Eagle Patch on the back of your jacket or vest.

This awesome patch features an eagle standing on top of an earth with an anchor behind it.  The anchor is often connected to the marines, and it's a part of the logo of the U.S. marines, the French Troupes de Marine, and the Dutch Korps Mariniers.  This particular image of the eagle, earth, and anchor is the logo of the U.S. marine corps.  The banner above the eagle reads Semper Fi, which is the shortened form of Semper Fidelis, the motto of the marine corps.  Semper Fidelis is the Latin phrase for 'always faithful / always loyal'.  The phrase has been used by various organizations since the 16th century, including military forces in Canada, Portugal, and Switzerland.

This eagle is pretty large, the patch measures 11 inches by nine inches.  It's also very colorful and detailed.  The patch was designed by artist Arturo Vilmenay and is an exclusive illustration.  If you're looking for amazing military patches, you won't find many that are as cool as this one.
