Biker Club Co-Founders

co-founder patchMany motorcycle clubs recognize the people who were there at the very beginning by giving them founder or co-founder patches.  These people are the ones who sat down and decided to create a club.  They took what was an unofficial group of friends who loved riding motorcycles and turned it into an organization of bikers.  It often takes a lot of time, a good amount of hard work, and even a willingness to contribute money to create a club.  It seems only right that the club then recognize those who were there at the very beginning.

Those who have co-founded a club have taken a risk.  They are saying they believe that their group can live on once the original members have left.  Sometimes, this happens.  Other times, the club dies off because no new members join.  Successful clubs are born out of a circle of great co-founders who are willing to take the time to actively recruit others, listen to what these people want, and work hard to make a club that people actually want to join.  It's not always easy, especially at the beginning.  That's why the people who co-found a biker club deserve to be recognized in some way.

Biker clubs often award patches to their members, officers, and founders.  There are a number of different styles of club patches one can wear.  For example, this white co-founder patch matches the white batch for the President, Treasurer, etc.  They're also available in gold and in red.
