If you haven't seen the Eagle Patches section at The Cheap Place yet, you don't know what you're missing. The Italian Eagle patch is just one example of all the great stuff in this section. You can get it in one of two sizes (4"x5" or 10"x12") but either one is awesome.
Why do I love this patch so much? Color man, color. One of the greatest things about collecting and wearing patches are the various color combinations and how they catch your eye. This patch specifically grabs your attention with its red lettering, outlined in successive lines of white and green. Placed against a black background, it just screams the national pride of being Italian.
Whats more, the website shows a picture of the bigger version on the back of a black leather vest - absolutely gorgeous! I'm not a biker anymore, nor am I Italian, but if I were, this would be one of the very first patches to hit my vest. If you don't have a vest or leather jacket, the smaller patch works well on the sleeve of whatever jacket you do have, andt has an iron on backing if you can't sew. If you really want to be creative, you can even glue it to your helmet or gas tank.
Regardless, the old Jack Brooks/Dean Martin classic, That's Amore, comes to life with this one. Don't hesitate to order one if you're proud to wear the colors of Italy!
