Look even closer and you'll see distressed areas all over the patch. Though this patch is brand new, the distress makes it look older. The look is similar to what some people do with new wood furniture or floors. They purposely distress the wood to make it look older than it really is.



At any rate, this 2x3 inch patch is obviously taller than it is wide. so where would you attach it? Right off the bat, we're thinking a pocket. A back pocket on a pair of jeans would work. If you have a denim shirt, one of the breast pockets would work as well.



Either arm on a jacket, just below the shoulder, would be suitable. So would the area above either breast pocket on a leather jacket. If none of those locations suit you, maybe sew it to a baseball cap or a bandanna. Use your imagination.

Some of our biker patches are meant to be humorous. Others say something about the biker lifestyle or culture. But every now and again, we run across a patch with a message that is a morale booster more than anything else.



Enter the I’m Your Huckleberry iron-on morale patch. Though the phrase 'I'm Your Huckleberry' was made famous by the 1993 Val Kilmer film Tombstone, it had been around as an idiom for more than 150 years at that point. So what does it mean? That depends on who you ask.



The two most common meanings are somewhat related. First, you can take it to mean 'I'm the one you're looking for', in the sense that you are the right person for the job. This is a small patch at just 4 x 1.5 inches. Nonetheless, we advise using needle and thread to affix it to you clothing. Black thread works best. To make the job easier, use the smallest diameter needle that will not bend as you sew. A smaller needle will pierce the patch much easier.

American flag patches are commonplace in the biker community. Your biker jacket or vest probably has one. If you're looking to add a second flag patch but are not necessarily a big fan of the stars and bars, consider the Gadsden Flag Don't Tread on Me patch.

Today, it is a favorite symbol among libertarians and others who think along similar lines.

Regardless of where you mount it though, be sure to use a sturdy thread and a needle capable of piercing the patch's plastic backing. It has been our experience that the smallest gauge needle (that doesn't bend of course) makes for the easiest sewing job.

Sewing a large patch to the back of your biker jacket or vest is a way to say something to drivers following behind you. Some bikers put club patches on their backs to let everybody know who they ride with. But if you ride alone, then what?



We'd like to suggest the Brown Bear Claws patch. At 12 x 7 inches, it is the perfect size to fit right between your shoulder blades. Mount it slightly lower so you can put a rocker above and below. Or mount it higher for a single rocker below or no rockers at all. Either way, this is one good looking patch.



Biker patches are supposed to say something, right? The Brown Bear Claws patch says, "Don't get too close buddy." Whether you want to imagine this is a mama bear protecting her clubs or a hungry male bear determined to protect his territory is up to you. The point is made either way.



A heavy presence of browns and grays suggests this patch works nicely with brown leather. It should also pop pretty well with black leather or blue denim. Its black border all the way around is ideal for hiding the thread when you sew it on. Just be sure to use black thread.



We recommend going all the way around the entire border for maximum securement. Tacking it down in just a few places will keep it affixed, but the edges might curl up where there is no thread. Going all the way around the perimeter prevents that from happening.



Riding alone doesn't mean having to go without a back patch. If you are an independent biker looking to decorate your jacket or vest with a large back patch that makes a statement, this one will certainly do the trick.

Now here's something you don't see every day: a small, iron-on biker patch that consists of nothing but a graphic image. Larger, back patches are more likely to offer graphic images and no text, but not the smaller ones. Smaller biker patches almost always offer a text-based message.



At any rate, we think the Iron-On Shark patch is pretty sharp. You get a crisp and clear image of a shark that is just menacing enough to let you know it means business, but not so menacing that the patch looks terrifying. The red color between the teeth is especially cool. Is it the shark's tongue… or is it blood? You get to decide.



As a smaller biker patch, this one measures only 4 x 2.75 inches. It is more rectangular than anything else. Its shape suggests attaching it to a jacket, vest, or shirt just above one of the breast pockets. A pocket flap wouldn't be a bad idea, either.
