Adding Patches to Uncommon Items

Everyone knows that you can add patches to your jackets, vests, and pants, but did you also know that you can put patches on your hats, wallets, bags, and other items?  These may not be the most common places to put patches, but why not personalize them?  There are so many fun things you can personalize with patches if you really think about it.  Here are a couple of uncommon items that you can put patches on to make them a little more personal.

Cloth belts can look amazing with a few patches on them.  Of course, most patches are too large, but there are a few that are short enough you can iron them on to your belt.  There are also some pretty wide belts that you can attach patches to.  What patches look good on belts?  While many patches with sayings on them are the perfect size, you do have to be careful that the patch doesn't end up covered by a belt loop.  Also make sure that the belt with the patch can go through the loops on your pants before attaching them.  Some pants have tight belt loops that won't really accommodate patches.

If you use a canvas wallet, you can also cover it with a patch.  Long wallets that don't fold in half are the best, but you can find a few small patches that will fit on a fold over wallet as well.  Some perfect patches for wallets include logos and insignias such as those from the different branches of the military.

So next time you've got a few different patches laying around but don't have room on your jacket for them, look to belts of wallets.  Add a patch to either to add some personality to them.
