Beanie Hats for Cold Weather

When a bunch of bikers gathers together for one of the annual rallies, one of the first things you come to realize is that different states have different regulations regarding riding motorcycles. For example, my home state of New York requires all bikers to wear helmets approved to meet certain safety standards. In Florida you can ride without a helmet but you must be 21 and have at least $10,000 worth of medical coverage on your insurance policy. In Pennsylvania you can also escape wearing a helmet if you're 21 and:

  • you've been operating a motorcycle for two years or longer OR
  • you've completed a state-approved motorcycle operator safety course

For states that don't require helmets a good number of bikers opt not to wear them. So what do these bikers do in colder weather in order to keep warm? Some wear helmets while others will choose beanies.

The beanie hat has been around for generations but it didn't become cool until the gangsta rappers began wearing them about 10 or 12 years ago. Suddenly they are all the rage for today's young people regardless of whether or not they ride motorcycles. Nonetheless, bikers have been wearing them to keep their heads warm for quite a long time. They've only benefited by the recent craze in so much as now they can get beanies that are custom decorated with stock patches, silk screening, or embroidery aimed at bikers.

If you need a beanie hat you should check out what's available at The Cheap Place. They have more than a dozen different styles including options for supporters of the military and female riders. You can buy beanies from their website along with all of their other stock patches, pins, helmet stickers, face masks, and so on.
