Bikers love attending biker rallies. These events are full of fun, and they give you the chance to meet with other riders from all over the country. Some rallies are larger than others, but all of them usually feature live entertainment, vendors, motorcycle rides, biker shows, and more. Most people who attend a rally like to buy a souvenir or other type of memento from the show. Often, that memento takes the form of an iron on patch because they're small and affordable. That's why a lot of the bigger rallies like Daytona Beach and Sturgis feature a unique patch that's made for each rally.
If you forget to pick up your rally patch or decide you want to collect patches from various rallies, you may find it difficult to pick up older patches. Generally, these rally patches are only produced that one time and are made in limited quantities. However, it is possible to find some of them online and from dealers. More recent patches, such as a Laconia 2010 patch, are going to be easier to find than a Sturgis 1990 patch. Of course, if you can find a collector who is trying to get rid of his embroidered motorcycle patches, you might be able to grab a bunch of these for fairly cheap, but that's not going to happen very often.
While you may want to buy some rally patches to put on your biker jacket, especially if it's the first rally you've attended, you may want to get duplicates to collect. If you go to a lot of rallies, you're going to quickly run out of places on your jacket, especially if you want to use some other types of patches in addition to rally ones.
