Can you Iron on a Patch on to a piece of Wood or Metal

Iron on Patches are designed to be heat pressed onto clothing. However I was curious the other day to see if you could iron on a patch onto a hard surface like wood or metal.

I found a piece of 2x6 and gave it a try and IT WORKED. The patch is stuck on tight! I've set the piece of wood outside to see how the weather is going to affect it over time but I was very impressed to find out that you can iron on a patch onto a piece of wood.

If it works on wood will it work on metal? Well I found a piece of metal frame and tried it. Sadly the patch peeled off very easily off the metal.

It's been tested and approved, yep you can iron on our patches onto pieces of wood too. Not sure how it would be applicable but incase you were wondering it is quite possible. I'll let you know how long it stays stuck on being exposed to rain and sunshine in a couple of weeks.

Added by Ivamis on April 24, 2017 Left the Block outside under the sun for a day. The patch peeled right off. So don't go ironing on a patch onto wood and expect it to stay on for long. Tested and Failed. Stick with Garments when ironing on a patch.
