Customize All Your Gear!

Most people hear about putting motorcycle patches on their jackets, but there's so much more you can customize.  Yes, your jacket will probably be the main thing people see, so it's important to put some amazing patches on it, but think about all the other things you wear.  You've got gloves, pants, hats, caps, belts?.there are many different items you can customize with your iron on patches.

What many people forget, though, is that they often wear more than one jacket, hat, or pair of gloves throughout the year.  In the winter, you often want to get a heavier coat, thicker gloves, and a warmer hat.  In the summer, you might forgo gloves completely and replace that winter hat with a cap.  All of these items can be customized with different patches.  This means you can decide on a warm weather patch theme and a cold weather one.  You might even have an in-between jacket for when it's just chilly but not too cold.  You can use a mixture of different patches on each one, or you can give each one its own theme.  The possibilities are pretty endless.

Then you can customize your saddlebags and luggage, too.  Again, you can use whatever patches you want.  Some people like to put the same type of patch on all of their bags so that it's very obvious which ones belong to them.  This is an especially good idea if you fly a lot since it can be difficult to pick out your baggage, especially if it's a fairly common color or style.  A few brightly colored patches will take care of that problem.

When you start buying patches, think about how many different jackets and such you might wear throughout the year.  Then start putting together different themes.  It's a great way to use all the patches you want instead of being forced to limit yourself.
