Derek "Nobby" Clark Honored

American MotorcycleHeritage reports the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame will honor Derek "Nobby" Clark as he has been elected by a supplemental vote. Standing shoulder to shoulder with road racing's most enduring legends, he will go down in history for the role he has played in many of the successes in this sport.

He has been one of the world's leading motorcycle race mechanics for the last 25 years. Clark has worked with some of the biggest names in history Mike Hallwood, Giacomo Agostini, and Kenny Roberts to name a few. His team has won three Daytona 200s, one Daytona 100, four Imola 200s and eight Italian championships.

November the 16th the Class of 2012 will be inducted officially into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. Clark said he is looking forward to seeing a lot of friend that he hasn't seen in quite awhile. Clark also thanked everyone who supported him during the vote. He said that they were true racing legends that have done so much for motorcycling. He expressed his gratitude for his motorcycling family and went on say say that is a privilege to be a part.

Just to name  a few of the other AMA Hall of Famers include off road racing legend Ty Davis, the late Al Wilcox the iconic race starter, world-class bike restorer Brian Slark.
