Many bikers only ride on the weekends or for special events. They're bikers, but they don't ride their motorcycle every day. Some need the extra room their larger vehicle gives them, while others live in cold areas or areas where the weather is usually not very conductive to riding a bike. On the other hand, there are some people who ride their motorcycle to work every day. They take advantage of being able to zip through heavy traffic and park in areas where larger vehicles are not able to.
Biking to work every day does have some disadvantages, of course. It's going to put a lot more wear and tear on your bike, which means you'll have to spend more to maintain it. You'll need to change the oil more often, probably replace the tires more often, and have other routine maintenance performed regularly since you'll be using your bike all the time. It's also possible that riding will lose a bit of its magic for you. You will also have to deal with the issue of not being able to carry a large amount of items. This means you may need to own another vehicle to purchase a large amount of groceries and such, or you might need to occasionally borrow such a vehicle.
On the other hand, riding your bike every day can be a lot of fun. You will feel more connected to the world around you as you feel the wind in your face and the pavement below your bike. It may make your commute to work that much more exciting, something that might otherwise be a chore. Even if you don't ride your motorcycle to work every day, you can always take it out for a treat every now and then.
