Gifts for Fellow Bikers

A lot of times, as a close friend or family member's birthday comes around, you hear, Oh no, I have no idea what to get him!.  But if the person you're buying for is a biker, you're in luck, there are a lot of different biker items out there, and it's pretty much a guarantee that no one has all of them.  However, you can't just go out and buy anything that's related to motorcycles for a biker.  If you weren't a biker, you might have difficulty shopping for a rider, but if you're buying for a fellow biker, you probably have a good idea what he or she wants.

One of the worst things you can give some bikers is anything with a motorcycle brand they don't ride or don't like.  For example, a Honda rider may absolutely hate Harley-Davidson, so giving him anything in orange and black would be a bad idea.  Not all bikers are like this, but most do prefer to have collectables, shirts, and patches related to the brand of bike they ride rather than other motorcycle brands.

Finding the right gift can be a bit difficult even if you do know what brand of bike they love.  You don't want to get them a duplicate item or something they don't really need.  For example, most bikers only need one set of custom license plate bolts or one nice pair of riding gloves.  T-shirts are usually a safe gift, even if someone has a duplicate, they may still wear it if they love the design.

As with any gift, do your best to make it personal.  Do your best to make sure you're buying them something they will appreciate and get some use out of.  If you know their entire jacket is covered in patches, that might not be the best gift.  On the other hand, if you know they collect them, why not give them a few neat ones?
