Those who join the armed forces are some of the most honorable men and women. They are willing to give up their lives to protect the freedoms of everyone else, even those they disagree with. It takes a lot to go through the extensive training required to join the military, and it takes even more courage and bravery to walk into a war zone. If you know a veteran, especially if that veteran has suffered because of his or her service to our country, you should do something to show him or her how much you appreciate that service.
