Today marks the 11th anniversary of the September 11th attacks that took so many innocent lives in 2001. Whether those lives were lost in New York, Washington, or Pennsylvania all of the victims are important to us because all of them are our fellow Americans. They are family members, spouses, children, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. And today, they are also our heroes.
There is nothing we can do to bring back those we lost on that dark Tuesday more than a decade ago. But there is plenty we can do to make sure those lives were not lost in vain. Indeed, it is our somber obligation to keep the memory of the victims alive for their sakes, for the sakes of their families, and for the sakes of our future posterity. We must never forget what happened. For the day we forget the past is the same day we forsake the future.
The Cheap Place is proud to do its part in helping America remember by offering a selection of embroidered patches paying tribute to heroes of 9/11. Though one individual wearing a patch has a limited affect, the culmination of many people wearing them can have a huge impact. The Cheap Place is proud to offer these patches, and we encourage you to wear them just as proudly.
If you haven't yet taken a few minutes today to remember our fallen heroes, those of us at The Cheap Place encourage you to do it right now. Set down your computer or tablet, recall to mind those images we all saw on that tragic day, and try to remember the ashen faces and tear-filled eyes. Then pray and ask for Heavenly blessings to be bestowed on the survivors and the family members of those we lost.
