Matching Patches to Other Items

One of the things you want to consider when having a custom paint job done on your bike or when buying biker patches is that everything looks good together.  You always want to awesome when riding, and a lot of that has to do with how well you look on your motorcycle.  That's something to keep in mind when you're buying your gear.  Many people like for their helmet to match their bike, for example, so if their bike is mostly red, they get a red helmet.  Others like to buy a biker jacket with their bike's brand name on it.  Honda, for example, makes some riding jackets that match their bikes very well.

Of course, patches let you add your bike's name or logo to any jacket.  Other patches come in many different colors, of course, so you'll certainly want to look at a number of them before you decide which ones to buy.  You'll want to make sure they look fine with your motorcycle and your helmet.  Patches that don't look right with your other pieces of gear will stand out and look odd.

You also want to make sure your patches match each other.  If the colors clash or if they're done in different styles, they will look really odd next to each other.  That doesn't mean all your patches have to be the same color, but you should probably lay out all your patches on your jacket before you attach them just to see how they look.

Once you've got your paint job, your patches, your helmet, and all your other gear matching and looking amazing, go show off!  Ride everywhere, and see if you and your club can participate in some local parades or other events.  Bikes were made to be shown off, not keep in your garage!
