Other Items to Cover in Patches

While most people purchase biker patches to add to their jackets and vests, there are actually a number of other items you can add patches to.  You can attach patches to just about anything made out of canvas material or leather.  While you do have to sew patches on to leather instead of using the easier iron-on method, it's not that much more work.  So what items do you want to decorate with patches, and why would you?

If you have rips in your pants or, if you simply want to add a few patches to your back pockets, you can add patches to them.  Patches can cover up any tears or worn places, of course, but there's no reason why you can't add a few patches to brand new pants.  You may want to avoid adding patches to the knees, though, since patch material doesn't always bend very well.

Another thing you can add patches to is your motorcycle saddlebags.  Since these bags are usually made out of leather or some other cloth, you can very easily attach a patch or two to them.

If you use cloth shopping bags, you can customize them with large patches or a lot of small ones.  Many people have started using these canvas bags because they're reusable and help reduce the waste that comes from plastic or paper shopping bags.

There are some patches made specifically for hats.  They are usually almost a half-circle, and they're designed to fit in the center of the hat above the bill.

These are just a few things you can put patches on.  Canvas wallets, belts, and just about anything made out of fabric can be customized!  With all that, you may need to resort to purchasing wholesale biker patches just so you have enough to go around.
