War is a very hard thing, both for those who fight it and for the families that they leave behind to go and protect the freedom of American citizens. This isn't the same as when a soldier dies in combat because the family is left in a perpetual state of mourning. They are left to hold onto the hope that their soldier is alive and could someday be returned, but they are not sure. There is never any sense of real closure. You don't have to worry that the patch won't go with the rest of your patches as there are a number of different options available. This means that the patch can easily be put onto most clothing items in under a minute by using an iron unless you are attaching it to leather. If you want to put your MIA POW patch on leather then you will need to sew it on to prevent the fabric from scarring.
