Rider Training Standards

To further improve rider training programs, the Motorcycle Safety Foundation will release a complete paper titled"The Standards Concept for a Rider Education and Training System." MSF's director of the licensing program Dr. Jim Heideman authored the paper and went on to discuss at the Second Annual MSF International Rider Education Training System conference this past May held at Eastern Kentucky University.

To create a comprehensive and relevant rider education and training system is the mission of the MSF.  Creating a safer riding environment and supporting riders in their pursuit of excellence is something constantly strived for by the MSF.

Dr. Heildeman assembled a team of education and training experts and called upon their personal experience,  academic and professional training to develop a document more definitive than anything written to date related to motorcycle training in the public domain.

Operator licensing tests, public education and through rider training  are promoted by MSF . They work with the government and state agencies and the military to train for all skill levels so riders can enjoy safe, responsible motorcycling.MSF standards have been recognized worldwide since 1973.

This non-profit organization is sponsored by Harley Davidson, BMW,BRP, Honda, Kawasaki. KTM, Plaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha.
