The Different Brands of Motorcycles

There are a lot of different brands of motorcycles out there.  Some people ride anything, and when they buy a new bike, they don't necessarily go with the same brand, even if they love their current motorcycle.  Others are brand loyalists and won't ride anything that doesn't have their chosen brand's logo on it.  There are pros and cons to each mode, but while some people claim that their motorcycle is superior to all others, the truth is that it's impossible to say which motorcycle brand is far and away the best.  It's largely a matter of opinion.

Bikers who love Harley-Davidson will say it's amazing because it's an American brand, while those who ride Hondas may say that their Japanese brand has better parts and runs better.  One biker might be partial to motorcycles that tend to focus on speed, while others love their bikes that are built for comfort over long distances.  You'll be able to spot these brand loyalists by the motorcycle patches they wear, most have at least one featuring the name or logo of their favorite manufacturer.

Most people have heard of Harley-Davidson, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha, but there are many other brands of motorcycles.  For example, BMW has manufactured motorcycles.  There are bikes made in Mexico, Malaysia, Portugal, Russia, Taiwan, and the UK.  While they're not all as famous, they're all excellent choices if you live in those countries.

The best way to figure out which brand is for you is to ask around.  What do people love about their motorcycle?  What do they dislike?  Ask if they will let you take a short test ride.  Go to dealerships, also, and check out the models they have available.  Do your research so you can see which brand offers the most for you.  You might find the perfect brand and the perfect bike for you.
