If you're in the military or if you're a veteran, you may have put a number of different military patches on your jacket and other pieces of riding gear. These patches show what branch of the service you were in, what awards and honors you received, and maybe even what in what conflicts you were deployed. If you're looking for some awesome military patches to use on your biking gear, you might be a little overwhelmed at first. There are so many to choose from! But if you think through what you want your jacket to say, you can narrow it down a little bit.
Do you want to emphasize which branch of the military you served in? If so, you will want to look for a large back patch that goes with that branch. You want to lock in the biggest patches first so you know how much space you've got for the smaller ones. You may want to get one of the small round patches featuring the different logos of the different branches to put on the front of your jacket or even on the shoulder. Rocker patches are also a good option for the shoulder of your jacket.
If you're a veteran, you might want to go with patches made specifically for veterans. These patches often work for all of the armed services. You can then add a branch-specific patch or two if you want to make sure people know you were in the army, navy, etc.
No matter what theme you're going with, you can always add a bald eagle or an American flag to your jacket if you need to fill in a space or two. These symbols of the United States work with any military patch. Keep these different patches in mind as gifts for Veteran's Day, too, which is coming up on November 11.
