Top Five Categories Patch Retailers Should Stock

Retailers selling embroidered patches are a dime a dozen these days, so it goes without saying that some are better than others. Just about all of them offer stock patches in many different categories including the military and sports. As a patch buyer myself there are certain categories I believe important for every retailer to include. Here are my top five.

5. Military Patches - Former military personnel are regular customers for patch retailers. They are looking for pieces to honor their fallen comrades, remember MIAs and POWs, and even designate their branch of service or the unit they belong to.

4. Biker Patches - Bikers have to be included in the stock patches of any retailer seeing as how they are the biggest buyers of these products. Biker patches can feature certain types of motorcycles, club ranks, and so on.

3. State Patches - State patches are highly collectible among bikers and families that do a lot of long-distance travel. Being able to collect a patch for each state visited is a great way to commemorate your travels and keep track of where you've been.

2. Funny Patches - I included this category just because we all need to laugh every now and again. A society that can't laugh at itself is a society that is far too uptight. And as far as I'm concerned, the US is getting too uptight for my tastes. Let's all relax and laugh a little.

1. Custom Club Patches - This category is number one on my list because it is the only way small groups and individuals can get the embroidered patches they need. The fact that they are "custom" means they are not stock patches just anyone carries. They are patches made specifically for a customer based on his design.
