Use Patches to Identify your Gear

Have you ever been at the airport waiting for your luggage and realized that there are five or six identical suitcases going around on the carousel?  Which one is yours?  Figuring that out can be a headache, especially if none of the owners has marked their luggage in any way.  There are a number of different ways you could mark your bags, but some of them aren't very pretty.  Instead of putting some ugly mark on your bag, why not add some iron on patches to it?  These patches will help show off your personality in addition to making your bags very visible and easy to identify.

When it comes to standard luggage, adding a few bikers patches is pretty easy: you can iron them on to the front of the luggage.  What patches should you use?  Well, that really depends on your personality.  You can use big, bright patches, patriotic patches, or even sayings patches.  However, you should remember that others will be seeing your luggage, including airport security if you're flying, so you might want to refrain from using any patches that might raise eyebrows.  You don't want to be flagged as a security risk at the airport.

You can also put patches on anything else you think may get easily confused with other people's items.  If you're a student and have a fairly nondescript backpack or laptop case, you might want to put a few patches on it to mark it as yours.  You could also add a patch to your cap or to your saddlebags.  These are just a few different items you might want to mark so that it's very clear they belong to you.
