Using Patches to Show Your Heritage

Some people buy motorcycle patches just to decorate their jackets or vests with.  They don't really have an overall theme or want specific patches, whatever catches their eye or seems funny to them is good enough.  But some bikers are looking for patches for particular things.  Some want to show their support for different causes, while others want to show off their heritage or show that they are proud to be from certain places.  If that's what you're looking for, you'll find a number of different types of patches that are perfect for you.

There are a number of different patches that celebrate heritage.  For example, if you're Irish, you might want to put a four leaf clover patch on your jacket, or a green patch that says "Kiss me, I'm Irish".  There are also flag patches and shield patches done in different national colors that you can wear.  If you're from the United States, you might want a bald eagle patch since the eagle is used in a lot of patriotic images.  Some of these patches call attention to themselves, while others are more on the small side.

If you want to show that you and your family come from a specific state in the U.S., you can wear a state rocker patch on the sleeve of your jacket.  These rockers spell out the name of the state.  While they aren't fancy, they do just what you want them to.  Other patches feature the state flag.

Can't find a patch that reflects your heritage?  You can always buy a blank patch or two and create your own!  All you need to know are a few basic embroidery stitches.
