One of the first things that you will want to do is to decide which type of vet patches would best work for your needs. For example, if you are looking to attach the patch to your hat, then you would want to make sure that you have a smaller patch that is no larger than four inches squared. This way you can be sure that the patch will easily fit in the area where you need it to go. However, if you are going to put it onto a much larger area like the back of a jacket then you can get one as large as twelve inches.

When you attach the patch, you have two options. It can easily be ironed on to most material because it is coated with heat activated glue. If you decide to attach it to leather, however, be careful, as you will want to sew it on instead to avoid damaging the material.
